Tangerines are smaller than oranges, not as sweet as mandarins, slightly tart in flavor. The rind is thinner than mandarins and somewhat easily removed. Tangerines fruit has seeds. Trees are vigorous and upright. When harvesting fruit, it is better to clip than to pull them as the stem plug will likely remove leaving the skin open.
Sunburst Tangerine- Fruit is flat on top and bottom, has little to no pith, is sweet, and easy to peel.
Citrus trees can be grown in the grown or in containers. Citrus trees should be protected from cold damage when temps get below freezing and especially in the 20's for an extended period.

*Citrus trees can be protected with freeze cloth. Cover the tree and anchor the cloth to the ground allowing heat to rise from the ground. *We sell freeze cloth by the foot in store, but not online currently.
